PATOU
Involved in classical music during her youth (her dad used to work in a recording company), she took part in the school choral, and then turned to the "pop music" when she was a teenager: It was the Baba cool period !
Then, she learned how to play the piano, bur without showing it to her dad.
When she was 19, she took part in the creation of a small rock'n'roll band with some friends (many laughs and a little work !)
She met Jazz when she got 20 (Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, the double six, Michel Legrand and many others...).
Sharing her life during a few times with a jazz guitarist (teacher in a music school), she took singing lessons with Anne-Claire Marin, and then at the Paris Music school to improve her musical theory level.
She had to wait a few years later to dare singing on stage !
Two important meetings: Rene who gave her the opportunity to sing in a lyric art group, and JB who accommodated her in his Bossa Nova band. |
